Important Update Regarding the 50% off Discount for SNAP Customers

Dear Daily Table Community,

Since 2018, Daily Table has proudly offered the Double Up Food Bucks program (a discount that gives SNAP customers 50% off fresh fruits and vegetables). We have since reached $1.8 million in Double Up Food Bucks redemptions ($1.8 million worth of fruits and vegetables distributed). For the past year, the program has been supported by the USDA, with additional contributions from the City of Cambridge.

Unfortunately, an unexpected shift of anticipated grant funding for this program is forcing us to temporarily suspend the discount program starting on Monday, 9/30 at our Dorchester, Roxbury, Mattapan, and Salem stores. We are thankful that funding from the City of Cambridge, will allow us to continue offering the SNAP discount - with a $10 daily discount limit - at our Central Square location.

Please be assured that Daily Table remains deeply committed to its mission to provide affordable, nutritious food in the neighborhoods we serve and is proud of its impact in our community. Our team is working diligently to secure the necessary resources to restart the program as soon as possible. While this program is paused, our commitment to helping families access healthy, affordable food has not changed.

We understand the importance of this program to so many. We are doing everything in our power to bring it back. In the meantime, we remain committed to serving our community through other initiatives and maintaining the highest standards of service and support. In addition to seeking continued support from our past partners, we are actively exploring new funding opportunities from other local, state, and national partners to ensure the program can return quickly, stronger than ever.

We sincerely thank you for your understanding, continued support, and trust in our organization. As soon as we have more information about the future of the Double Up Food Bucks program, we will share it with you.

Daily Table Team
