Frequently Asked Questions

  • Daily Table is a nonprofit community food market dedicated to providing fresh, tasty, convenient and nutritious food to communities most in need at prices everyone can afford.

  • Our stores offer a range of grocery staples including meat, dairy, eggs, frozen, pantry items, and a wide selection of fresh produce.

We also offer a selection of freshly prepared foods (full meals, soups, salads, sandwiches, and sides) that are healthy, delicious, and made in our own commissary kitchen. Prices for prepared meals start at just $1.99! We only sell tasty food that meets strict nutritional guidelines for sodium and sugar, set by a group of dietitians from the world-class Med-Ed community in Boston.

  • We not only accept SNAP/EBT, we welcome it! All of the food in our stores, including the prepared items, is SNAP-eligible. Additionally, all SNAP/EBT users get 50% off all fruits and vegetables through the Double Up Food Bucks program every time they shop.

  • Our procurement team works hard to secure special deals on products from our existing vendors and to find new suppliers. Whether donated, discounted, or rescued, our food is always high quality and affordable. We often get deals from suppliers because:

Excess inventory. When manufacturers make too much product, or a customer backs out of an order, the vendor is often left with too much product to sell. We happily take their surplus and can sell it at a lower cost!

Labeling Change. When brands change their packaging, they don’t want the old and the new labels to end up on the same shelf. We’re happy to take products with older labels, so they can be enjoyed by our customers.

Generosity. Many of our suppliers and vendors are simply excited about our mission. As a way to support us, they give us special pricing or donate food when they can!

Short codes. Because larger supermarkets won’t stock items with close expiration dates, we are able to get these “short-code” products and offer them at great deals! Rest assured, we do not sell anything past its expiration date.

  • No! Daily Table does not sell food past its expiration date in accordance with regulations from local Departments of Public Health. Moreover, we provide a 100% money back guarantee for every product in our stores. If you are ever not completely satisfied with a product purchased from Daily Table, you can return it for a full refund with no questions asked!

  • Yes! You can (and should!) absolutely shop with us. There is plenty of food for everyone. At Daily Table, every shopper is a funder. We cover 70% of our operating expenses with sales revenue. Even if shoppers can afford elsewhere, they are supporting us and moving our mission forward by shopping with us!
