Empowering Communities with Affordable Groceries Amid Rising Prices

It’s no surprise that food inflation and the ongoing pandemic have significantly impacted everyone’s cost of living, with grocery prices skyrocketing. Families and individuals in our communities are feeling the strain on their wallets as they try to put nutritious meals on the table, sometimes needing to prioritize transportation, housing, or health costs. Despite cost increases, we have worked hard to keep our food prices as low as possible for our customers.

At Daily Table, we understand the financial challenges faced by many families and firmly believe that access to affordable, nutritious food should be a right rather than a privilege. While many grocery stores have increased their food prices across the board, we have implemented a thoughtful approach, analyzing cost fluctuations and seeking innovative solutions to keep prices as low as possible for our customers. By leveraging partnerships, implementing efficient processes, and reducing our margins, we have successfully maintained affordable prices for its customers.

Not only have we succeeded in preventing price hikes on certain products, but we have also managed to maintain the prices of certain staple items. Our freshly-made garden salads have stayed just $1.99. Our packs of Little Leaf Lettuce continue to be just $1.99 each. And our bananas have remained only $0.39 per pound since 2018! Despite the challenges in the supply chain and increased costs from our suppliers, we have ensured that these items remain consistently affordable, offering customers reliable and nutritious options without compromise, even if that means we don’t make profits on a certain product.

While we try to keep prices stable, we also acknowledge that some of our prices have increased in response to external cost increases. In these cases, we have made transparent price adjustments to cover the increased expenses incurred from our suppliers. Our buying team works hard to keep these increases as minimal as possible and to keep our prices lower than other local grocery stores.

Daily Table's commitment to affordable food options remains unwavering. By carefully managing costs and engaging in strategic partnerships, we ensure that affordable, nutritious food remains accessible to all.
