Our Fearless Leaders in Dorchester!

DORCHESTER, MA — Meet Dorchester Store Manager Veronica Hemingway and Assistant Store Manager Gamalier “Gee” Pinet of Dorchester! They have worked at Daily Table for many years and have created life-long friendships with their customers and fellow coworkers.

“Everybody is just like a little family. Everybody is so close knit.” Veronica says. Sure, we've got affordable, good-for-you eats, but we're also all about investing in the communities we call home. We really are so much more than just a grocery store!

Veronica and Gee have witnessed the difference Daily Table has made on the lives of our shoppers firsthand. After talking to both of them, it was clear that they love working here because of their passion for our mission and the daily interactions they have with their customers and fellow team members.

Meet Gee!

He is a Boston local with roots in Puerto Rico and Brazil. He started working at Daily Table in 2015 before taking some time away to finish his nursing degree. After a few years of moving around the country as a traveling nurse, Gee returned to Boston and to the Daily Table team. 

While catching up with Gee it was clear how much he enjoys being part of the Daily Table family. “I love working here. I always have” he says, and we’re so excited to have him back on the team! Since Gee’s return, he has worked his way up the Daily Table ladder. He has been promoted from Team Member to Team Leader to his current position as Assistant Store Manager. 

So, why choose to shop at Daily Table? According to Gee, — “One, we’re all like a family. When you come in, you feel the energy. And, there is no other place that has our prices.”

Veronica and Gee have worked together to create a welcoming and friendly environment in our Dorchester store. Veronica is a Daily Table expert and has been a mentor to Gee and all of her other employees during her time here.

Meet Veronica!

Starting as Team Leader in Dorchester seven and a half years ago, Veronica is now the store manager in Dorchester. Veronica has been a driving force behind building our stores in Roxbury, Cambridge and Mattapan. One of the many reasons Veronica loves working here is because Daily Table “supports you growing…they really look [to promote] people who already work inside the company so it’s a good place to work, to go further” she says.

Her passion? The people — her customers and her fellow employees! Veronica loves being part of the Daily Table family and having a real impact on the community around her. Making the community eat better and seeing the smiles on her customers' faces? That is what it’s all about for Veronica. 

Our customers appreciate us for our reasonable prices, the atmosphere in our stores and the bonds they have built with our staff. Shout out to Gee and Veronica for bringing light into the Dorchester store! And, thank you to all of our teams — our stores would not be the same without them.
