Celebrate our Earth with Daily Table!

Daily Table is committed to supporting sustainable food practices that benefit our planet and our community. We work hard to provide fresh, nutritious food to everyone while minimizing food waste.

Join us in celebrating Earth Month and read about what we do for the planet below!

Preventing Food Waste

We are proud to say that in 2022 alone, we recovered 348,528 pounds of food thanks to our suppliers and thanks to you, our customers!

Perfectly good food often goes to waste because it doesn't meet the cosmetic standards of larger grocery stores, or is excess inventory that a supplier can't move fast enough. While we purchase the majority of our inventory at a discount through the supply chain, we sometimes also rescue fresh food that might otherwise be discarded and can sell it at significantly lower prices.

But don't worry—nothing we sell is EVER past its expiration date!

Composting with CERO

CERO (Cooperative Energy, Recycling, and Organics) is an award-winning commercial composting company based in Dorchester, Massachusetts. When we're unable to sell our groceries before they go bad or when we have food scraps in our commissary kitchen, rather than tossing them in the landfill, we COMPOST!

We are proud to partner with CERO, a worker-owned cooperative that was founded in 2012 by a passionate group of black and brown people from Boston neighborhoods.
