Imagine growing your own food on a farm, and then seeing the fruits of your labors for sale in your home community. That’s the experience we get to give students, thanks to our partnership with The Farm School, a non-profit organization on a mission to connect people to the land.

Roxbury resident, Ashley, had a lot to say about our unique model and the impact we have on the community! Ashley grew up in Roxbury and Mattapan and plans to live in the area for the rest of her life. She understands that millions of people in our country struggle to access healthy, fresh, and affordable food and believes that Daily Table offers a great solution to this issue!
Renewed Roxbury Event
On Saturday, July 27, we celebrated the renovation of our Roxbury store, which is now brighter, more colorful, and cleaner, creating a more welcoming shopping environment!
Our roots in Roxbury run deep, and we’re thrilled to showcase these exciting updates to our location in Nubian Square, which has been open since 2018. Thanks to all of you, this location has seen a lot of foot traffic so it was time for a refresh!
Celebrate Salem 100th Annual Awards
On Wednesday, April 24th, Daily Table proudly accepted the 2023 Community Service Award at the Celebrate Salem Awards Dinner, hosted by The Salem Chamber of Commerce. Held at the Peabody Essex Museum, the event was a lively celebration of local businesses.
Daily Table Welcomes New CEO
Daily Table announced the appointment of Sasha Purpura as its new Chief Executive Officer on February 12, 2024. Purpura brings more than a decade of experience in the non-profit sector, having previously served for 10 years at Food For Free, another distinguished food-focused organization. Purpura’s passion for the Daily Table mission and dedication to addressing food insecurity will serve to elevate the organization’s impact and reach.

We have exciting news! As of Friday, January 12, Daily Table stores offer SNAP customers HALF OFF fresh fruits and vegetables with NO DOLLAR LIMIT, through the Double Up Food Bucks program. This means that when you shop with SNAP, you can get as much fresh produce as you want for half the price of our already low prices!
Our Fearless Leaders in Dorchester!
Meet Dorchester Store Manager Veronica Hemingway and Assistant Store Manager Gamalier “Gee” Pinet of Dorchester! They have worked at Daily Table for many years and have created life-long friendships with their customers and fellow coworkers.
“Everybody is just like a little family. Everybody is so close knit.” Veronica says. Sure, we've got affordable, good-for-you eats, but we're also all about investing in the communities we call home. We really are so much more than just a grocery store!
Daily Table Now Open in Salem, MA
On Saturday 9/9/23, we cut the ribbon to celebrate our new store in Salem!

What a celebration it was! We were welcomed with open arms by the Salem community and look forward to seeing the impact that this new store will continue to provide.
Meet Volunteer Margaret
Daily Table’s new Salem store will open on September 8, with a ribbon cutting and grand opening celebrations on September 9! The store will be sparkling, and the shelves will be stocked—thanks in part to the generosity and hard work of our volunteers.
Volunteer Margaret Costello has made the commute to Salem several times from the South Shore, spending the whole day working on getting Daily Table ready to open. “I wouldn’t have missed this for the world! Helping to get the new store ready is the best thing I’ve done this whole summer!”

My name is Anna Dugan, known as artist Annadidathing. I’m from Salem. I’ve been painting since I can remember, but I’ve been doing this full time sinceJuly of 2020, which is kind of crazy to think about. It’s always really important to me to do work within this community to give back, to reflect the same kindness and togetherness that Salem has always shown me.

Meet Ruby, Mattapan’s Mural Artist!
One of the first things people will notice at the new Daily Table in Mattapan is the artwork. The store has four bright, fun, beautiful murals, all designed and painted by graphic artist Ruby Rose.
Meet Leia, Our New Mattapan Store Manager!
Leia is passionate about her work at Daily Table, and she’s looking forward to bringing that passion to her new position as Store Manager at the new Daily Table store in Mattapan. “I really can’t wait!” she says.
Carly's Story
In 2020, soon after the pandemic hit, Carly, one of our Roxbury customers, found herself laid off from her job and pregnant. “I had student loans, no job, and I was expecting. And I really wasn’t sure what I was going to do. But when I found Daily Table, I realized I could make my [SNAP] benefits last all month, and I could eat the way I needed to eat for the baby.”
